Sonko: I’ll not switch off my siren

Senator Mike Sonko is making noise… over a siren fitted on his official car.

He has refused to take off the siren and says he will continue using the car, a Mercedes Benz, even though Senate chiefs have demanded its removal.

Mr Sonko said the car was allocated to him by the Office of the President and that he will only listen to instructions about it from State House.

“My official car is a GK from the Presidency and it came fitted with  a siren. I will not remove it,” Mr Sonko told NairobiNews.

He said the siren had come in handy in serving the city’s four million people.

“I normally use the siren lead car when I attend to emergencies such as fires and  tragedy scenes.
