Misery of 200 kids abandoned after police raid

More than 200 children are living in misery after their parents were driven off to a Kenyan refugee camp — and they were left behind.

The children, who include babies aged only three months, are now living on handouts from neighbours and well-wishers in Maji Mazuri estate, in Kasarani.

Twelve children and a six-month-old baby are being looked after by one 16-year-old boy, all crammed into a one-bedroom house.

Their parents were seized in a police swoop on illegal immigrants at the Release Missions Antioch Church in Kasarani on Sunday. They were then loaded onto lorries and taken away, as their children watched helplessly from the nearby Sunday school.
