Maureen Waititu: I prefer a God-fearing man
Maureen Waititu concedes men fear dating a single mum of boys.
The content creator, who is a mother of two boys, made this claim in a recent interview with K24 TV.
She adds that her prayer is to find a ‘God-fearing man’.
“Someone once told me, ‘you have two boys in Kenya, no one will ever look your way.’ It is a common factor even before I was single, I could hear people say it is not easy to date mothers of boys than girls.”
Waititu adds she is still ‘recovering’ following a public fallout with her baby daddy Frankie Kiarie and remains optimistic that true love still exists, while insisting she still has ‘alot to offer’ on the dating scene.
“I believe in love, I have a lot to offer. My heart was broken but I am filled with love now. I would be interested in a man who has certain values that I’m looking for. I pray to God to bring me a man who is God-fearing.”
“It’s been two years since I became a single mum. I think I have been focusing more on myself, my healing, and my kids,” she added.
“I feel like one of the major catalysts of a failing relationship on someone who broke up with someone, whoever, male or female, if they move to a new relationship with the baggage which is the unhealed wounds, it will never work out.”
Kiarie has since moved on to date socialite Corazon Kwamboka.
The couple has been blessed with a child.
