Mariga is getting married next year, but not to Joey Muthengi
Kenyan international midfielder McDonald Mariga is getting married next year, but not to former Citizen TV siren Joey Muthengi, this is according to word on the streets.
Joey and Mariga are the brand ambassadors of betting firm Betin and have been featured as husband and wife in one of the company’s popular adverts.
And perhaps to hype up public interest, the petite TV personality has even been joking about dating the Kenyan footballer.
LONGTIME GIRLFRIEND
But to put the matters straight, one of Mariga’s family members has now come out to reveal that the footballer will actually be wedding his longtime girlfriend Kenisha, sometime next year in Spain.
“He has a daughter with a mixed race woman, Kenisha, and they are planning to get married in Spain in 2019. His younger brother Victor Wanyama will be his best man,” the family source was quoted by The Star newspaper.

The source further went ahead to say: “I’m not sure why Joey has been lying to Kenyans and her fans.”
In a recent interview with Pulse, Joey revealed that she will be moving to Italy in January 2019 for a vacation and possibly shoot another Betin advert with Mariga.
“The Betin deal, whose shoot was in Italy, opened doors for me and given a chance I would still work with them. I don’t know where this relationship will take us. Ask Mariga,” she said.
