Man who recently dug his own grave commits suicide
A 50-year-old man’s body was found dangling from a rope at his work place in Got Okombo Village, Kabondo Kasipul, Homa Bay on Saturday morning.
Villagers believe that Charles Moseti might have committed suicide after digging his own grave few months ago.
Confirming the incident Rachuonyo East sub-county police commander Charles Barasa said it was reported that Moseti had dug a grave in his home in which he planned to be buried upon death.
“His pastor informed us that he had dug the grave at his home sometime back. It’s like he was preparing his family for this day,” Barasa said.
The police however say that Moseti did not leave behind any suicide note but they have launched investigations into the incident.
At the time of his death, Moseti was serving as a home caretaker at the village.
The body of the deceased was taken to Rachuonyo South Sub-county Hospital mortuary in Oyugis town.
