Man chops off manhood after being ‘frustrated by life’

A 40-year-old man has chopped off his manhood citing frustration with life.

The exasperated worker threw the organ into a pit latrine and sat on roadside bleeding profusely, before by Kenya Red Cross workers found him.

The Naivasha-based quarry worker was rushed to the Naivasha sub county hospital where he is still undergoing treatment.

“He is responding well to treatment and is out of danger,” said the medical superintendent in charge of the Naivasha sub county hospital Dr Joseph Mburu.

He said the man was first taken to the theatre before he was transferred to the general ward.

Dr Mburu said the man was still under close observation by the medical personnel attending to him.

According to the police, the worker is suspected to have used a kitchen knife and razor blades to chop off his genitals.

“We found a bloodstained kitchen knife and razor bloods which we believe he used to chop his private organ,” said a police officer.

The man was alone in the house at the time of the incident.
