Magerer paid Sh300k to withdraw assault case against ODM MCAs
Former ODM Executive officer Magerer Langat was paid Sh300,000 to withdraw an assault case against five Nairobi MCAs and head of security at Orange House, the party’ s head office.
Mr Magerer told a Kibera court that he had successful discussions with the accused, among them Nairobi County Assembly Majority Leader Elias Otieno.
Magerer told the court that the money was compensation for the medical expenses.
The six had been accused of creating disturbance by shouting at Magerer and assaulting him during a meeting attended by party leader Raila Odinga in 2014.
Magerer was ejected from the meeting after being accused of being a government mole. He has since decamped to Jubilee Party.
