M-Pesa to undergo yet another maintenance, this time 12 hours long
Safaricom on Friday announced that it will conduct yet another service maintenance on its mobile money transfer platform M-Pesa scheduled to last twelve hours.
M-Pesa subscribers will not be able to access various crucial services on the mobile platform from Saturday July 18 at 10pm to Sunday July 19 at 10am.
“In this regard, our M-Pesa services shall be undergoing planned maintenance on the night of Saturday 18th July 2020, starting from 2200hrs to Sunday 19th July 1000hrs. During this maintenance, all M-pesa services including airtime purchase shall be temporarily unavailable,” the statement reads.
“The timing of this maintenance activity has been planned to result in the least of inconvenience to our customers,” Safaricom further said.
The mobile telephone service company also apologised to its customers for any inconvenience that this would cause.
This is the fourth time Safaricom is carrying out such maintenance on the M-Pesa platform since June.
