M-Net finally shuts down Channel O
One of Africa’s biggest music channels ‘Channel O’ has been shut down. The channel will only be available in South Africa, but the rest of Africa will not be able to watch it.
Contacted, Multichoice Kenya’s communication manager Philip Wahome conformed the shutdown.
“There is a bigger channel that will replace Channel O. Just wait and see how it goes,” Wahome told Nairobi News.
Asked if Channel O Video Music Awards will still continue, Mr Wahome said that official communication will be issued on the same.
This confirms media reports earlier last month that the channel was due for closure.
Another channel on DStv platform on the chopping board is Maisha Magic.
