A father’s search for girl involved in cult worship
The family of a 16-year-old girl who went missing three weeks ago is still agonising over her disappearance.
Ruth Beryl went missing on March 27. She left a damning letter alleging that she had a debt of Sh20,000 which she was supposed to pay to unnamed people or else her family would in danger.
Ruth had been given a week’s suspension from St Albert’s Girls High School, Ulanda after she alleged she was involved in cultism.
According to her father Mr Chrispine Muraula, she confessed that she worshipped the devil and that she was recruited by a friend.
The friend whose name was given as Diana also left a letter at the school. In the letter she confessed she had been in the cult since class seven.
Ruth warned her parents against looking for her saying she would be back after getting the money. But three weeks down the line, she has not showed up. Her parents are confused.
“We have looked for her everywhere, reported to the police but so far we don’t have any information about her whereabouts,” said Mr Muraula.
Before Ruth and Diana were suspended, they were summoned by the school administration.
“The two girls were summoned and Diana confessed that she had even recruited some form four girls to illuminati in 2013,” said Mr Muraula.
The resident of Ziwani appealed to the public to inform police or him if they come across his daughter.
