Murderous wife arrested while ferrying husband’s body parts in a sack – VIDEO

A woman has been placed in police custody in Eldoret after being arrested while ferrying her late husband’s mutilated body parts in a sack.

Melisa Muhinda, 26, allegedly committed the crime on Friday night and then hired a boda-boda rider to help her transport the mutilated body parts of her husband, Geoffrey Matenje, who used to be a newspaper vendor in the town.

According to the police, it is when a suspicious member of the public accosted the boda boda rider and his passenger, that the grim discovery was made.

The boda boda rider however managed to flee in foot leaving his motorbike and the woman behind in an incident that happened in Kamukunji estate.

FLED THE SCENE

“A member of the public confronted the boda-boda rider who was carrying the woman and a sack. The rider lost control of the bike, but got up and fled the scene,” said Eldoret West OCPD Zachariah Bitok said.

The police have launched a manhunt for the fugitive boda boda rider.

“We suspect the woman and the rider may have been involved in the killing and were heading to dump the body at an unknown place,” said Bitok.

According to neighbours, the couple’s marriage had for long been a troubled one with frequent fights and occasional death threats from the woman.

The suspect, mother of two children, will be arraigned on Monday.
