Witch doctor busted while stage-managing ‘stuck lovers’ drama

Police in Meru are holding two people who reportedly pretended to have gotten ‘stuck’ during sexual intercourse with the aim of publicizing the matter for commercial capital.

According to police report, the couple – Joan Makokha aka Cynthia Matendetere and Chaha Mwitu – planned the incident and went ahead to stage-manage it.

The two were to be ‘rescued’ by Ugandan witch doctor by the name Magooha Twaha, who was expected to perform the ritual of ‘separating the stuck couple’ had the script played out in full on the day.

The witch doctor is also being held in police custody.

FALSE PRETENSE

“Acting on a tip-off that a certain magician had planned to stage manage a scene where he had contracted the services of a man and women to sleep together in a lodging and to appear as if the two had stuck during sexual intercourse, police officers laid a trap and as the events unfolded the officers heard the couple crying out for help that they had got stuck,” the police explained in their report.

The suspects will be arraigned in court to answer to charges of committing a felony and obtaining money by false pretense.

This is the second suspected case involving a Ugandan witch doctor which has reportedly been staged-managed in recent times.

The other one occurred in September 2017, in Mombasa when a reported Ugandan witch doctor was arrested for being part of a gang that stage-managed the ‘recovery’ of a stolen motor vehicle in which the occupants stripped off all clothes and acted as if they had gone mad.
