Sharply dressed Githeri man reappears on Election Day
Kenya’s most famous voter, Martin Kamotho, better known as the Githeri Man has yet again captured the attention of Kenyans on social media after showing up at a polling center to vote.
But in sharp contrast to the githeri munching man in an ill-fitting brown coat waiting in a queue to cast his vote whose photo went viral on August 8, the Githeri man who showed up for the repeat presidential election was sharply dressed in a grey suit.
And just to show the distinct difference, Githeri man shared the two photos on social media thanking God for how far he has come.

The viral photo from the August 8 general election, turned the Githeri man from anonymity into a Kenyan celebrity, with corporate bodies scrambling to close deals with him.
His transformation from a githeri-eating voter struggling to make ends meet to a national brand was completed by a full team of people managing his image.
Some of the things he benefited from include a plot in Karen, a five-year supply of designer clothes, mobile phones worth more than Sh200, 000 and brand endorsements of unknown value.
