Nairobi’s Fashionable StepMum forks out Sh250k on five outfits
Blogger Catherine Kariuki, who goes by the name Fashionable StepMum, has excited the internet with her five outfits that cost a whooping Sh260,000.
Mrs Kariuki shared her shopping haul video featuring dresses and pants suits from UK designer Karen Millen that ranged from Sh50,000 (£380) to Sh35,000 (£245).
In the video, Fashionable StepMum mentioned that the outfits were now available on a 50 per cent discount which she said was “great quality for less.”
She urged all women to buy expensive pieces that will give them better quality and service as opposed to shopping for cheaper outfits.
BLENDED FAMILY
Mrs Kariuki became popular after her interview that focused on the challenges younger women who get married as second wives to older men go through.
She has been running a vlog and blog highlighting the challenges of blended family and in both she openly discusses how her family and friends shunned her for marrying a man twice her age.
Mrs Kariuki is a step mother to five adult children who stay with her and often visit their biological mother.
The two mothers often meet during milestone events such as graduation and birthdays.
