City mum honours rescuers with tea and bread at attack scene


A kindhearted Nairobian has won the admiration of Kenyans online with her kind gesture of serving breakfast to security and rescue team at the scene of the suspected terror attack on Nairobi.

Rescuers have been stationed at the Dusit D2 Hotel for over 17 hours since the first bomb detonated at the scene followed by heavy gunfire.

In the midst of gloom, the unidentified woman honoured the rescuers and policemen by serving them tea and bread on Wednesday morning.

The woman in a flowered kaftan with a maroon scarf wrapped on her head served breakfast from the back of her white car.

The picture that has since gone viral.
