City house help goes missing with employer’s toddler

A Nairobi family is looking for their two year old daughter who went missing with the house help on Sunday morning.

Mr and Mrs Tom Mboya Nyaywera had travelled out of town on Friday leaving Baby Noella under the care of her nanny Dorice Angila at the couple’s home in Utawala.

Dorice had been employed for two months.

On Sunday, she told her employer that she was going to church with the baby.

“No one saw how they were dressed when they left the house at 8am and we do not know which church she went to,” said Noella’s father.

HEADBANDS

The mother said she had made her baby’s hair into four matutas and tied multi-coloured headbands before the she left the house on Friday.

“Dorice was not knew in Nairobi when she came to work for us. She told me she had lived in Umoja, Karen and several other estates.

“In fact she said all her adult life she had worked in Nairobi as a house help and since she is 28 you can imagine those are a couple of years of living in Nairobi,” said Mama Noella.

Dorice hails from Emuhaya in Vihiga county and her family has since told her employer that she has not called them or arrived home.

A missing person’s report has been filed at Ruai police station and the family is urging anyone with information regarding Noella or Dorice Angila to call 0712135555/0720368088/0735181762.
