Brave girl survives after kidnappers ripped out her intestines

A nine year-old girl is fighting for her life in a Nakuru hospital after surviving a gut wrenching kidnapping ordeal.

Faith Nduta, a class three student was kidnapped outside her parent’s house in Pyrethrum Estate, Bondeni area, in Nakuru town.

A Facebook post by Ndungu Nyoro, a social media mobiliser, Faith was kidnapped by a gang of two men and a woman on the morning of September 17, 2017.

BASK OUTSIDE

She had asked her mother, who sales cakes at Nakuru town matatu terminus, permission to bask outside in the sun. While seated on a stone, two men and a woman approached her, gagged her and dragged her to a vehicle parked nearby.

Inside the vehicle, she was blindfolded, forced to ingest something and became unconscious as they sped off.

The kidnappers then did the unthinkable. They used knives to make three deep cuts in her stomach, spilling out her intestines. She was left for dead at Ndarugu area in Beautiful Ward.

She miraculously survived the ordeal.

Though bleeding profusely, well-wishers rescued her, rushed her to Mediheal Hospital and was immediately put on treatment. Parts of her intestines were however severely damaged.

Her intestines were re-fixed through a corrective surgery at the hospital, before being taken to the Intensive Care Unit where she stayed for seven days. She has since been transferred to the general ward and is recovering well.

MOTIVE UNKNOWN

The motive of the kidnappers is not yet known.
