Tusker FC forward Allan Wanga is confident his side is about to halt Gor Mahia’s three year dominance of the local football scene.

Tusker currently top the Kenyan Premier League standings on 48 points with only five games left to play. Gor Mahia lie second on 44 points.

Besides, the brewers are also still in the running for the GOtv Shield, where they have been drawn against second tier side Kenya Commercial Bank in a semi final tie.

“At this stage we have to say there is a big chance we will win the title, or even both the league and the domestic cup. We are confident,” Wanga told Nairobi News on Friday.

The Harambee Stars striker spoke moments after receiving the August player of the month award from his club. The gong came with a Sh50,000 token. Defensive kingpin Lloyd Wahome was feted with the September award.

Wanga has scored six times and contributed six assists since joining Tusker from Tanzanian club Azam FC in July.
