Lavington mall to open in February

Lavington shopping centre is set to have a 7-floor mall in February next year.

Lavington Mall will have 60 upmarket line shops to cater for the middle to high income residents of the area.

These will include health clinics, jewellery shops, lounge bars, salons, three restaurants, dry cleaners, fashion shops, a food court and banks.

This will be the first mall in the sleepy shopping centre that has for a long time had a small supermarket and a few eateries to cater for the growing area population.

“We will not have an anchor tenant,” says Gikonyo Gitonga, the managing director of AxisRe who are managing the property.

This is a departure from the norm where malls around the city have had a supermarket as the main tenant.

Nakumatt has already positioned itself in a different upcoming mall located opposite Lavington Mall along James Gichuru road.
