KQ to rebook Nairobi passengers after Mombasa Road chaos
National carrier Kenya Airways has said it will rebook passengers who missed flights due to disruptions on Mombasa Road on Friday.
The airline acknowledged that it was impacted by the disruption of traffic on Mombasa Road after an unstated number of passengers departing from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) missed their flights.
“Kenya Airways has been impacted by the disruption on Mombasa Road, with some guests departing from JKIA in Kenya missing their flights,”
“Kenya Airways has been impacted by the disruption on Mombasa Road, with some guests departing from JKIA in Kenya missing their flights,” a statement released by Kenya Airways on Friday said.
“Our operations are running as scheduled. Any guest who will miss their flight will be re booked on the next one, at no fee. This applies to all guests traveling before 18h00, from JKIA, for tickets purchased on or prior to Friday, November 17, 2017.”
Nasa supporters had temporarily blocked several roads leading to JKIA after anti-riot police denied them access to the airport.
The youths were on their way to JKIA to welcome Raila Odinga on Friday from his tour of the US and Europe.
