KOT react to Raila’s rejection of election date
Kenyans online have expressed mixed reactions after Nasa presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, on Tuesday morning rejected the date set by IEBC for the fresh presidential election.
Speaking to journalists, Nasa principals together with Mr Odinga, said the election cannot be held on October 17 without “legal and constitutional guarantees” from the IEBC.
Also he cited electoral agency’s failure to consult them as their reason for rejection of October 17 as the date for the election as was announced by IEBC on Monday.
The IEBC had on Monday in a press statement announced October 17th as the date for the presidential elections that will only see Jubilee and Nasa presidential candidates on the ballot paper.
