KOT can’t agree on Sonko’s ban on matatus in CBD
The online community expressed varied opinions to a notice barring matatus from entering the city centre from Wednesday next week.
City Hall issued a circular on Friday announcing the implementation of the gazette notice that seeks to reduce congestion that has become synonymous with the CBD.
Governor Mike Sonko had promised in his campaigns to ease traffic in the CBD within the first a hundred days of his administration.
Most netizens applauded Governor Sonko for the order, while others were not happy. Most sympathized with residents who live in Thika and work in Upper Hill.

The most affected by #MatatuCBDBan are the most that elected Sonko. They thought the Governor will bend rules 4 them. Kidero will be missed
