Kidum warms many hearts with soothing music for Big Kev in hospital – VIDEO

Before going for his latest surgery, ailing events organiser Kevin Ombajo, aka Big Kev, on Thursday got his wish to have renowned singer Kidum by his bedside.

Big Kev’s request and Kidum’s humbling gesture carrying a guitar and singing to the event organiser on his hospital bed moved many of their followers on social media.

Big Kev, who has been admitted at Nairobi Hospital for the last few months, had told his family members that he wanted to meet the singer.

Kidum also confirmed getting Big Kev’s request from friends. In a Facebook post, he narrated how friends kept telling him that Big Kev wanted to pass a message to him and that after speaking to the ailing events organiser, he packed his guitar and went to the hospital.

“Everyone was calling me about the message Big Kev wanted to give me on his hospital bed. I couldn’t hold my tears after he spoke to me. God has spoken to me through him. He requested this song Nipe Nguvu,” wrote Kidum.

Big Kev has been battling brain tumour for the last six years. Last year in July he was hospitalised after a seizure after which he took to Facebook to share his six-year journey with the ailment.

He again took to Facebook in December, 2016 to talk about how his life has been difficult, but vowed to soldier on after losing his eye sight.

Here at Nairobi News we wish him a quick recovery.
