Khalwale dumps Ford Kenya, runs into the hands of DP Ruto’s Jubilee

Former Kakamega Senator Bonni Khalwale has announced his defection from Ford Kenya.

Dr Khalwale said he is joining Jubilee Party.

The announcement comes a week after Ford Kenya summoned Dr Khalwale to face the disciplinary committee over gross misconduct.

Dr Khalwale made the announcement at his Malinya home in Kakamega County where he is hosted Deputy President William Ruto.

He cited threats by Ford Kenya’s leadership, claiming the want to sack him in the next seven days.

“I will not come to be ashamed in the name of discipline for finding space for the Luhya people in the next government” he said.

Present at the meeting were MPs Benjamin Washiali (Mumias East), MPs include Didmus Barasa (Kimilili), Caleb Ositanyi (Soi), Justus Murunga (Matungu), Malulu Injendi (Malava), Janet Nangabo (Trans Nzoia County), Aisha Jumwa (Malindi), Atib Mwashetani (Msambweni), Mwambu Mabonga (Bumula) and former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa.
