Kenyans lash out at SGR staff training manual written in Chinese
A photo of members of the Standard Gauge Railway cabin crew reading training manual written in Chinese has rattled Kenyans online.
The photo by Financial Time‘s East African correspondent John Aglionby had Kenyans lashing out at the Chinese operator for making Kenyan staffers learn their language.
The new SGR will be operated by Chinese firm China Road and Bridge Corporation in partnership with an Australian firm for 10 years.
Kenyans working within the SGR project have been undergoing various railways operational trainings.
Mr Aglionby’s launch photo was captioned that the SGR staffers were working on their Chinese homework.
