Kenya sinks lower in Fifa rankings

Kenya has dropped two places down the latest Fifa rankings in the world, and one spot lower on the continental grid.

Harambee Stars now sit in the 118th position globally down from position 116 and position 37 in Africa.

In the East and Central African region, Kenya is behind neighbours Rwanda (64), Uganda (74), Tanzania (100), Ethiopia (102) and Sudan (110).

Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan and Rwanda have all recorded improvements in the latest release, with Tanzania the biggest movers having risen seven positions up from the previous 107th spot.

The senior national team has not played any matches this year, but the Harambee Stars Under 23 team lost 3-0 away to Egypt in the opening leg of the All Africa Games qualifiers, and drew 1-1 with the Egyptians during the return leg clash last weekend.

Algeria and Ivory Coast lead the pack in the African scene, followed by Ghana, Tunisia and Senegal in that order.
