KCSE: Precious Blood tops in Nairobi


Precious Blood girls high school, Riruta, emerged the best school in Nairobi county in the 2013 KCSE results released on Monday.

Strathmore school and Kenya High were the second and third respectively in the county.

Nationally, Precious Blood ranked third, Strathmore school was seventh and Kenya High tenth.

Norah  Chelagat of Precious Blood girls high school, Riruta, was the best performing candidate in Nairobi. She was followed by Brian Osoro  and Kelvin Makokha, both of Nairobi school.

Nairobi county produced four of the top ten students nationally.

The county however missed out on the top ten list of best performing counties.

Samburu was the best performing county, followed by Siaya, Elgeyo Marakwet, West Pokot, Trans-Nzoia, Bomet, Kisumu, Busia, Embu and Uasin Gishu respectively.

Westlands district was ranked the top district in the country.

Giants Starehe boys centre, Lenana high and Pangani girls performed dismally.
