Just for laughs: KPL player’s comical Facebook post

A Kenyan Premier League player has become the butt jokes on social media following what turned out to be a hilarious effort to explain his long absence from his club’s training ground.

AFC Leopards attacker Patrick Kagogo took to his official Facebook page to inform his fans, friends and followers alike about his prolonged absence from the team in a grammatical mistake-riddled message. This is what Kagogo wrote:

“Hay people i know u are missing me. In trening but it is becase i have ichary but soon i will be with u.”

The message from the Congolese-born player was probably supposed to have read:

“Hey people, I know you are missing me in training but it is because I have an injury but I will soon be with you,”

Soon after the message was posted, some of his cheeky friends on Facebook responded with get well soon messages, which were understandably tinged with a bit of humour.

Naoori Pamba Nakoli said: “Kagogo ako na ichary (read injury) we wish him a quick recovery, while Sandra Camara added: “Tunakataa ma ichary (injury) kwa boys wetu.

Nairobi News also takes the earliest opportunity to wish Kagogo godspeed as he continues to recover from the ichary – oops! injury.
