Journalist Chiko Lawi ruins Damian Marley’s arrival in city – VIDEO
A Kenyan journalist has been blasted for his unethical conduct after he spew expletives at Damian Marley at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Monday.
Damian Marley is in Nairobi as part of his world tour and is scheduled to perform at Carnivore on Wednesday.
The reggae artiste was making his way through JKIA international arrivals terminus when Capital FM’s Chiko Lawi approached him with a request for a selfie.
The request was turned down, with Damian Marley’s handlers forming a human shield around him.
The journalist responded to the snub by hurling a series of expletives at Damian as he gleefully recorded the episode.
Throughout the shameful episode, Damian Marley and his crew kept their cool.
Chiko Lawi subsequently posted the video on his Instagram page, but later pulled it down.
In the footage, the journalist is heard bragging that he might attend the show, but he still did not like him.
