‘Jicho Pevu’ floored in ODM primaries, claims Joho rigged him out

Investigative journalist-turned-politician, Mohammed Ali, has blamed Mombasa governor, Hassan Joho, for his loss to Said Abdalla Saido in the ODM primaries in Nyali Constituency.

Through his Facebook page, Ali has claimed that he was locked out of the polling station and was not allowed to vote on time yet his opponent was allowed to vote as early as 7 am.

“I have been locked out. I can’t vote, my people were not allowed to vote on time while Ali Hassan Joho’s brother was allowed to run away with 5 polling stations as early as 7am,” said Ali in the post.

He added that all the polling stations were opened at around 2-3pm and that the Johos proceeded to count the votes on his behalf without his permission.

“It’s a family affair. Let Joho announce the brothers thuggery win tonight at the ASK ground. This album will forever be in my heart. The Joho’s time will come. I will fight till the last man standing,” stated Ali.

Nyali constituency is a perceived ODM stronghold and it’s widely believed that whoever clinches the party’s ticket stands a good chance of becoming the area’s next Member of Parliament.

The official results of the exercise yet to be announced.
