Jehovah Wanyonyi is alive, but ailing, says family

The family of Jehova Wanyonyi and members of the Lost Israelis sect have denied reports that the self-proclaimed ‘God’ is dead.

The sect’s spokesman Eliab Masinde Makokha told journalists that their leader is alive but admitted in a hospital in the country. He did not however disclose the name of the hospital.

Addressing journalists from Nation Media Group who visited Jehova Wanyonyi’s home, Mr Masinde said their leader was admitted after developing back pains and that he is being looked after by his children.

“His children came here to take their father when he developed back problems and took him to hospital. When people heard this, particularly the neighbours, that is how they started spreading rumors that Jehova has died,” explained Mr Masinde

Mr  Masinde warned that those spreading the rumors should beware of the wrath of God

“These speculations has offended us. What we know is that his children said they are taking their father to the hospital for treatment and that is the news we are waiting for. These other ones are just rumours,” he said,

Jehova Wanyonyi’s family showed journalists inside his chambers to dispel rumours that he had secretly been buried there.
