State House Digital director of Communication Dennis Itumbi has rekindled rumours of his alleged romantic relationship with Jacque Maribe when he posted a moving congratulatory message to the Citizen TV journalist.

Itumbi posted a message on his Facebook page hailing Maribe’s recent promotion to hold brief for pregnant news anchor Janet Mbugua who has gone on maternity leave.

Itumbi posted on his Facebook page, “Congratulations Jacque Maribe as your take up your new role at ‪#‎MondaySpecial. You are a statement of possibilities. Your brand may not be understood at times, but one thing is for sure, you have been patient, hardworking and focused. You fight for your space, it is never handed over to you. Impressive. To my friend @Janet Mbugua God bless you and may you bring seed to the world that sprouts it’s petals to the rays of the sun and makes Mum and Dad happy.”

Earlier in the year, photos of Itumbi and Maribe kissing were circulated on social media, touching off rumours that the two were dating.

SURPRISE BABY SHOWER

But when the Nairobi News contacted Itumbi then, he insisted that Jackie is his friend. When Jackie was pregnant, Itumbi held a surprise baby shower for her at his house.

The post on Thursday rekindled the romours of a relationship between them. Boniface Wairimu commented, “Wewe Itumbi. Just be clear here. How did you get this photos behind the screen scene? There must be something going on between you two. Otherwise she is very good. Her reports are superb.”

Shaltuti Shaban went on, “Congrats Jacque Maribe. Dennis Itumbi. Sir, should we read in between the lines?”

Moses Thorm Ondieki had a piece of advice to Jackie, “Jacque am weary of this man called Dennis, be careful of him. I don’t know why his comments about you sound doubtful to me,” while Justice Purity Ann said, “I like this lady si ungefafanua why you had to kudos her yet ni wengi wamepata promotions!!!!”

Itumbi response was: “Jackie is a good friend.”
