Itumbi addresses claims of being fired from State House
Director of digital communication at State House Dennis Itumbi has denied claims that he has been fired by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
A blog post on Monday claimed that Mr Itumbi and other PSCU staff had been evicted from State House.
The story in the Business Today claimed that the group was now working from Deputy President William Ruto’s office at Harambee Annex.
Those affected, according to the blog, are Munyori Buku (public communications), Eric Ng’eno (messaging), James Kinyua (branding and events) and Munira Mohammed.
But reached for comment, Mr Itumbi offered a philosophical response.
“When you park your car in West Pokot and someone insists that you are in Mombasa, you don’t have to argue with them to try and convince them that you are in West Pokot,” he said.
For his part, Mr Buku said he had not seen the allegations and would therefore not respond.
“I don’t read blogs because there are better things to do,” he retorted.
