It’s all smiles as man holds wedding with his three wives – VIDEO

A 50 year-old Ugandan man has surprised all and sundry by holding a joint wedding for his three wives.

And guess what, the newly weds were all smiles at the function.

In his explanation, Mohammed Ssemanda – a food vendor in Kasenyi landing site, a Kampala surburb, says he opted for the joint wedding with his three wives due to lack of finance to hold separate functions.

Mohammad told the New Vision newspaper: “My wives are not jealous against each other. Good enough, each one has got a home and I promise to work harder and support them”.

The smiling brides were all dressed in white gowns.

The man’s first wife, 48 year-old Salmat Naluwugge, has spent 20 years with him and they have five kids.

Others are Jameo Nakayiza, 27, and Mastulah aged 24 who are sisters.

“I thank our husband for marrying us all at once, a sign that will not discriminate or sideline any of us,” a visibly overjoyed Naluwugge said.

Sheikh Swaleh Mugenyi who presided over the wedding assured that polygamy  is allowed in Islam and advised brides and their groom to stick to their religion and Allah in whatever they do.
