Is Ugandan coach Ssimbwa eyeing a comeback to struggling Sofapaka?

Former Sofapaka FC coach, Sam Ssimbwa, could be on the verge of making a return to the struggling Kenyan Premier League club.

According to Ugandan website Kawowo Sports, the coach was spotted at the team’s Eastleigh High School training base on Thursday morning.

Ssimbwa, who is currently attached to Ugandan top flight side Soana, is said to have been introduced to the players by team manager Emmanuel Donno as a “special guest”.

SPECIAL GUEST

“He is here as a special guest to the club. Who knows what can happen in future. In football and life generally, do not rule out anything until it materializes.”

Ssimbwa’s impending return could however largely depend on Sofapaka retaining the top flight status, a position that is currently out of their hands.

Batoto ba Mungu will host Thika United on the final match day of the season this weekend needing a win and also hoping that Ushuru FC loses to Posta Rangers, to escape relegation.

Sofapaka are currently without a coach, having parted ways with Harambee Starlets coach David Ouma last month.
