I’m not recruiting, ignore fraudsters – Sonko
Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has warned city residents against an online advertisement purporting that his Sonko Rescue Team is recruiting.
“This is to warn members of the public to IGNORE any advertisement purporting to invite members of the public that the Sonko Rescue Team is recruiting trainees to assist in delivery of services countrywide,” Sonmo said in a statement.
He said that the Facebook accounts posting the adverts are fake and should be ignored.
“Disregard all posts emanating from the below account. Currently, there is no recruitment taking place at Sonko Rescue Team! We do not request for any recruitment fee neither do we give out motorbikes. There are over 5,000 fake Mike Sonko/Sonko Rescue Team accounts,” he explained.
He said that his Facebook page is verified and has over 1.3 Million followers.
