Tusker launches Team Kenya campaign
Kenya Breweries Limited, through its flagship brand Tusker Lager on Friday launched the ‘Team Kenya’ campaign at the Tusker Buffet Park at an event attended by the crème de la crème of Kenyan sports, music and theatre.
Tusker Team Kenya is a campaign aimed at enhancing patriotism amongst Kenyans by celebrating various groundbreaking moments as well as achievements made by Kenyans.
“I feel truly proud today that 93 years on, the Tusker brand’s legacy continues to shine, exhibiting a national symbol of togetherness and real sense of pride that I believe will rally all Kenyans in one powerful cause. The cause of celebrating our heroes,” said Arianne Okong’o, Tusker Marketing Manager during the launch.
“Ever since the first 10 crates of freshly brewed Tusker Lager were delivered in a horse- drawn carriage to the Stanley Hotel in 1922, Tusker has continued to distinctively stand for authenticity, pride and togetherness,” added Ms. Okong’o.

“Team Kenya is a continuation of the Tusker legacy that aims to be fused in all Kenya’s landmark moments, to celebrate the extra ordinary courage Kenyans exhibit every day.”
The campaign will see the Tusker brand create an avenue which will give all Kenyans a platform to cheer on their national sporting teams, support the arts and music industries as well as celebrate ordinary Kenyans who achieve extra-ordinary feats.
During the campaign Tusker will be asking all patriotic Kenyans to sign up to the team Kenya platform *896# where they will get to enjoy a sense of camadarie when supporting Kenyans teams during matches. Individuals who sign up also stand a chance of winning various prizes.
Tusker’s commitment to nurturing music and sports talent in the country has been on-going for several decades.
Tusker Project Fame, Tusker FC and Tusker Safari Sevens are some of the big projects the brand has sponsored over the years. The brand also sponsors the national rugby 15’s team.
