Over 450 youths from Embakasi West Constituency will benefit from an ongoing project by area MP George Theuri aimed at equipping young people in his constituency with vital skills.

So far there have been thousands of beneficiaries to the program, which caters for training in hairdressing, driving and computer classes.

“As part of our CDF bursaries, on Wednesday 30th September we will officially launch our short courses program to over 450 beneficiaries,” Mr Theuri said.

According to the MP, of the 450 beneficiaries, 112 will come from each ward within the constituency who will commence their training with driving lessons fully funded by CDF. An additional 100 will take hairdressing and beauty courses under the same programme.

Mr Theuri further said that over 1500 beneficiaries for secondary school bursaries will be issued with cheques on a later day and that the project will go a long way to alienate unemployment.
