How Nairobians puffed the ‘holy herb’ at Morgan Heritage concert
The gentle breeze of the night wafted the smoke of marijuana as Nairobi reggae lovers meditated to the sounds of the Morgan Heritage band at the KICC on Saturday.
The ‘Extravaganza Concert‘ by the Jamaican band was marked by sights of dread-locked men and women puffing marijuana and waving Rasatafari paraphernalia as they sang along to the ‘teachings of the most high.’
And they were not disappointed as Peter, Gramps, Mojo serenaded them tune after tune to the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Despite the heavy presence of police officers and private security personnel, fans somehow managed to sneak in marijuana, alcohol, khat (miraa) at the concert.
