Homeless saint who returned Sh200k to owner walks out of rehab, looking for work

A homeless man who picked and handed over Sh200,000 that fell out of a bag to the owner in March is doing well now after four months in a rehab.

Vincent Omondi made headlines after his gesture which led to Kenyans on Facebook to look for him and try and help him.

Mr Omondi, known as Vince Dancer on Facebook, announced on Tuesday appealed for a job and thanked everyone who helped him.

“I thank all my social media fans, if now only I had a permanent job or at least something to give me rent. Fare, food and clothing will come in time. But I thank you all and hope for your continued support,” Vince posted on Facebook.

Before succumbing to drug addiction, he worked at a supermarket and an airline company.

His Facebook profile indicates that he is an IT graduate from St Paul’s University.

Vince also posted his mobile number on his page after people asked him how they can reach him.
