Home is where Leopards’ Keli’s heart is

AFC Leopards forward Jacob Keli has snubbed a move to Seychelles in favour of remaining in the Kenyan Premier League.

The Kenya international has recently been on the spotlight after a contractual dispute with Ingwe almost saw him leaving the club.

The rumour mill later went overdrive when he was spotted at the offices of KPL champions Gor Mahia, but despite the speculation the move to K’Ogalo eventually failed to materialise.

But it seems home is where the heart is for the former Mathare United and KCB forward who top scored in the league in 2013, after he rejected advances from to Seychelles side St Louis.

The said club made contact with the player and his representatives last week, but were unable to make progress after receiving failure to get assured responses from the player.

This is the second time in the past three seasons that Keli, who has also been linked with moves to Tunisia and Azam in the Tanzanian league, is snubbing advances from his suitors.
