Hindu ‘hugging saint’ to visit Oshwal Centre
Hindu spiritual leader Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, also referred to as Amma (Mother), will jet into the country on Saturday for a three-day tour.
The visit will give Kenyans and many of her other followers from neighbouring countries a chance to embrace their leader.
The “ hugging saint ” will extend her loving embrace — a symbol of compassion, unity and peace — at a series of public events at the Oshwal Community Centre in Westlands, Nairobi, on Sunday and Monday.
Amma, famous for her humanitarian works, will grace projects of the Kenyan branch of her Embracing the World charity organisation.
