Here is why Jubilee MCAs want Kidero to resign
Jubilee MCAs on Wednesday called on Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero to resign for failing Nairobians.
The MCAs accused Governor Kidero of turning Nairobi into “one huge slum where garbage is not collected and roads are permanently clogged.”
Led by minority leader Abdi Guyo, they claimed the Governor is overwhelmed with the task of managing the city.

“The Nairobi Governor should just resign as he has failed Nairobians and he is unable to manage the city which has turned to be like a huge slum,”said Mr Guyo.
Mr Guyo pointed out that streets within the city centre have been transformed into pick-up and drop-off points by matatus and that street children have increased in the city.
He added that revenue collected by City Hall has not been reflected on service delivery to the city’s residents.
REJECT NOMINEE
The MCAs at the same time said they will reject Governor Kidero’s nominee for the position of County Secretary Dr Robert Ayisi. They argued that the Governor had flouted the nomination procedure.
Mr Guyo claimed that Dr Ayisi is not competent to hold the position.
“Dr Ayisi has been in Nairobi for all these years but we have never seen any reform in the health sector that he led,” said Mr Guyo.
However DrAyisi, speaking in a phone interview, said that he would not respond to the claims.
