American fast-food chain Hardee’s to open third branch in Kenya

American-based fast-food restaurant chain Hardee’s is set to open its third branch in Kenya in March.

The launch of the new outlet at Two Rivers Mall will come only a month after the second outlet in the country was unveiled along Westlands Road.

Rohit Gambhir, the burger chain’s general manager in Kenya, said the new outlet will mainly target the shoppers at the mall, while the Westlands branch’s target market are clientele from blue-chip companies located near the area.

The global fast-food brand opened its first outlet in Kenya at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in mid-2016.

POSITIVE GROWTH

“Our expansion drive this year has been inspired greatly by the positive growth recorded by the firm over the time we have been in Kenya and the growing demand for our products and services. Giving quality and something refreshing to our customers is why we have been able to record growth,” said Gambhir.

CKE Restaurants Holdings, which owns the Hardee’s brand, said in 2016 that they had plans to open 10 additional restaurants in Nairobi.

Hardee’s has more than 3,800 franchised or company-operated outlets in 44 countries.
