Hairdresser stabs client to death for ‘fling with her husband’ – VIDEO
A 22 year-old hairdresser stabbed her client to death on Tuesday in Mundika, Busia county, on accusation that she was having an affair with her husband.
Sylvia Wanyama, who runs the salon together with her husband, had stormed the premise and picked a quarrel with 25 year-old Maureen Karani.
She accused Ms Karani of sleeping with her husband.
“In the ensuing melee, the deceased was stabbed on the neck and died while receiving treatment in hospital,” Busia County Police Commander Mr Halima Abdi said.
The suspect is said to have tried to escape but was arrested and is being detained at the Busia police station.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect’s husband who has gone into hiding.
“They had a difficult relationship full of fights due to suspicions of the man’s infidelity. He is a known Casanova,” said Mr Moses Okinda, a boda boda operator.
The suspect was arraigned in court on Wednesday.
