Governor Mutua rolls out red carpet for second wife at charity event


Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua rolled out a red carpet for his young wife Lillian Nyanga when she visited a children’s home in Kangundo on Thursday.

The Governor posted pictures showing the largesse accorded to the Machakos “First Lady” on his Facebook account.

Ms Nyanga, who is Dr Mutua’s second wife, had visited “orphaned and semi orphaned children” at AIC Kangundo Children’s Home, which houses 100 children in Kangundo Sub-County.

She later went to Forward Green Children’s Home in Matungulu Sub-County which has 47 children.

She dished out mattresses, foodstuffs and water tanks to the children in both homes, the governor announced.

“The County Government is through the Ministry of Education, Youth and Social Welfare working closely with children’s homes in the county to ensure these kids are educated and integrated to the society,” posted Dr Mutua.

“She encouraged school children to put a lot of efforts and emphasis on their studies regardless of their backgrounds as they stood an equal chance of success in life.”
