Glaring errors still persist in IEBC ‘clean’ register
Kenyans online have once again pointed out glaring errors in the IEBC online voter verification portal.
Random searches using invalid ID numbers revealed different names of voters whose birth dates were all captured as January 1.
For instance, a search of ID number 12345678 revealed the name Kibet Kirui born in January 1 1994.
Ordinarily, Kenyans born in 1994 have ID numbers that start with digit 3.
IEBC Communications and Public Affairs Manager Andrew Limo told Nairobi News that the commission’s IT department would be checking on the errors.

This comes days after similar screenshots were shared after the commission unveiled the mobile verification platform.
The commission’s communications manager Limo said the errors had been corrected reverse messages after the queries of the invalid ID numbers had information that the numbers were invalid.
