Give me back my Sh25 million, Nyamweya tells FKF

Former Football Kenya Federation (FKF) president Sam Nyamweya is accusing his successor and incumbent Nick Mwendwa of refusing to pay him Sh25 million.

Mr Nyamweya, in a strongly worded three paged letter,  says the amount is a refund of the money he injected in football activities during his tenure in office.

“It is on record that I am owed personal money by FKF close to Sh25 million which I have demanded in writing from you many times but you have not been courteous to talk to me about my debt and all that I have heard is you will not pay me despite my lawyers having written to you demand notes.” Nyamweya states in the letter dated March 29,.

The former FKF boss also revealed that he was approached by “top leadership of the country” to support Mr Mwendwa after the federation’s elections in February 2016.

The relationship between Mr Mwendwa and Mr Nyamweya has broken down in recent months following the decision by the latter to drag the youthful president and his association to court on two separate occasions in recent times.

Mr Mwendwa has responded by banning Nyamweya from football activities for the next 10 years.
