Girl: My father gave me Sh10 to buy cake after defiling me
A six-year-old girl stunned a Meru court Tuesday when she narrated how her father gave her Sh10 to buy a cake after defiling her.
The Standard One pupil said: “I know the accused very well because he is my father.”
She went on: “I was with in the sitting room when my father called me and told me to go to his bed room. It was during the day after my mother had left home.”
The father, she told Meru chief magistrate Lucy Ambasi, undressed and defiled her.
“I felt a lot of pain and cried. When my siblings heard me crying they rushed to the bedroom. I told him l was feeling pain but he still continued. He gave me Sh10 to buy a cake after the act,” said the girl.

The father only stopped defiling her when he heard the mother coming towards the bedroom.
“My mother found me holding my panties and holding ten shillings that my father gave me. She then took me outside but my father started to beat her,” added the minor.
The girl was testifying in a case where her father has been charged with defiling her on September 29, 2015 at their home in Miugune village, Buuri sub-county.
The matter was reported at Kiirua police station.
The court also heard that the minor’s mother later reported the matter at Kiirua police station, where together with her first born they recorded statements.
The girl’s mother while giving her evidence told the court that she was shocked when she found her husband defiling their first born on their bed.
She said that they started living as wife and husband in the year 2008.
DISTRAUGHT MOTHER
“l left my children with their father, however, on my way to the forest l found that l had forgotten a panga and l went back. When l reached home, our two other children told me that my husband was in bed with our first born. l found them naked,” said the minor’s distraught mother.
She added, “l took the child but l realized she was bleeding. She told me that her father spit on her private parts and defiled her.”
She said on inquiring from her husband, he became furious and hit her with a metal rod.
The mother said that her child was treated at the Meru teaching and referral hospital, and put on medication for a month.
