High school teacher accused of sexually molesting his student arrested
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a high school teacher accused to have defiled a student then went on the hiding.
Through its Twitter account, DCI said Mr Willy Wanyonyi Musikali, a teacher at Moi Girls High School Kamusinga sexually molested the student in June this year, but has since been at large.
The suspected was arrested on Tuesday at Bungoma County, after the police trailed him to his hideout where he has been holed up for months.
DEFILEMENT
The teacher’s photograph was published on the agency’s social media account. The suspect is now expected to be presented in court Wednesday to face charges of defilement.
“Mr Willy Wanyonyi Musikali, a teacher suspected of defiling a student of Moi Girls High School Kamusinga in June 2018 and has been on the run, was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) in Bungoma by detectives. He will be arraigned in court today (Wednesday) and charged with the offence of defilement,” DCI said.
The teacher was early in June accused of defiling the form two student, when he summoned her to his office.
ON THE RUN
The 14-year-old student at that time told journalists the teacher summoned her to his office, but upon arriving began making sexual advances.
“He told me he had missed me and I told him the only relationship I would have with him was teacher-student,” the girl is reported to have said then.
She then said the teacher proceeded to forcefully defile her.
The teacher would then go into hiding as area police led by their OCPD Gladys Rutere began hunting him down, until Tuesday when they caught up with him.
